The Rhino – famous the world over for looking like one of the grumpiest (and strongest) creatures in existence Rhino’s still need your help (just don’t expect a thank you). They may tip the scales at more than a small family car but they’re still no match for poachers with military grade hardware.
Facing extinction due to demand for their horn, which is prized as a status symbol, it’s going to take a global effort to save these wonderful animals.
- Over 100 rhinos were poached every month last year in South Africa. Only 13 were poached in 2007.
- 9,300% increase in rhino poaching since 2007
