What is United for Wildlife?
United for Wildlife is an unprecedented alliance between seven of the world’s most influential conservation organisations and the Royal Foundation of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry. The partnership between Conservation International, Fauna & Flora International, International Union for Conservation of Nature, The Nature Conservancy, Wildlife Conservation Society, WWF, the Zoological Society of London and the Royal Foundation is leading the way to substantially increase the global response to major conservation crises.
Numbers of many of the world’s wildlife species have reached critical levels. Driven by corruption, greed and demand we continue to see deeply worrying levels of poaching to supply the illegal trade in wildlife and their products.
We’re building a movement that will make a real change for wildlife around the world, and we need your help – by helping us build this Minecraft map, you can be part of a team spreading the word at this critical time – the more people who are talking about it, the more pressure on those people involved in the trade including those that consume wildlife products.
The Edge of Extinction
We’re committed to increasing attention on the most pressing conservation issues of our time, starting withe the rapid escalation of illegal wildlife trade. This issue is having a devastating effect on wild populations of some of the largest and most iconic species like elephants, rhinos and tigers, as well as lesser known species such as the pangolin. United for Wildlife is on their side, are you?
